Careywood Community

Careywood, Idaho was originally called Severance, but was renamed after a man named Carey from Spokane bought land in the area. The town was involved in the logging industry. 

It runs along Highway 95 and it is unincorporated.  It is know for its farmland local Cocolalla creek and small fishing lake.  You will find the beauty of the nestled community with its surrounding mountains

and picturesque scenery.  The area is about 40 miles south to Coeur d'Alene and about 20 miles north to Sandpoint, Idaho.  It sits in the Panhandle of Idaho which offers many recreational endeavors such as hunting, fishing

boating, skiing, snowmobiling and of course the family entertainment of Silverwood Theme Park.
